Data Recovery

Data recovery is not too difficult to do, depending on the extent of the loss. You can easily recover deleted files, or files deleted from CD’s and DVD’s. There are enough software available in the market to do this. Most of them can be downloaded free from sites such as download.com and freeware.com. These are very effective in simple data loss problems. They are easy to use and as your first step they may be able to solve some of your problems.

But please do be careful. This is possible only with some types of data loss and recovery. If you do succeed you will save a lot of money since professional data recovery is expensive. If you do plan to try it out first, then the better system would be to install the data recovery program on one computer and connect it by LAN to the corrupted computer. In this way you will not further compromise the already problematic situation.

Data from a hard drive is never lost – unless you write over it. Thus, in some way or the other data is recoverable.  A hard disk, once it is damaged cannot be repaired, but the data can be regenerated and recovered. Do it yourself processes include hard disk regenerators, simple repairs of the bad sectors, simple data recovery systems or advanced data recovery software systems. If none of them work then go to a professional and hope for the best. If the data loss due to physical problems and malfunctions then the best option is always to get a technician to do the needful. They may cost a lot but then your data is probably worth much more and you have to weigh the options against each other.
